意图政治讽刺，但绝大多数时间都在引喻失义。把国际关系想象得过于简单，以至于强行加入了说教与数场过于冗长的对话来铺垫后还是显得苍白无力。个人评分5.5
30年代政治讽刺片，很适合翻拍。不过这片里的白宫布景也太简陋了。Mischa Auer瞪着无辜的大眼睛在里面演了一个正直严肃的记者。
